Now: What I’m Working On

Written in February 2026.

What am I doing these days? This now page has the answer.

Growing Rootd

I’m continuing to build and scale Rootd, the world’s leading app for managing panic attacks and anxiety.

Rootd has helped millions of people across 150+ countries. I’m now working more closely with clinicians across the U.S. and Canada who are offering Rootd to their patients, both for wait times between appointments and moments of urgent need. This expansion means more people can access support when they need it most.

Later this month, I’m heading to ViVE 2026 in Los Angeles, the largest gathering of health systems and payer organizations. If you’re attending, I’d love to connect.

Speaking & Advocacy

Sharing Rootd’s story and advocating for better mental health resources continues to be a big part of my work.

Looking back on 2025, it was a year of meaningful milestones. I became a C100 Fellow, won the Frontier Collective Pitch Summit, spoke at WebSummit, joined a panel at Angel Forum Vancouver, and received the VIATEC Emerging Leader of the Year award. I’m grateful for all of it and carrying that momentum into 2026.

Supporting Small Businesses

I’m still connected to the work I did leading Alacrity Canada’s digital marketing bootcamp, which helped more than 6,000 BC small businesses during COVID.

I occasionally advise entrepreneurs navigating early-stage growth, digital strategy, or cross-cultural communication. Helping small teams through rapid change remains meaningful to me.

Languages, Learning & Travel

Language learning is still one of the greatest joys in my life.

I’m actively practicing Polish, Korean, Spanish, and Russian.

I love how languages open up new ways of seeing the world, especially while traveling.

Trails

When I’m not building Rootd, I’m usually outside training. Last year I ran and hiked a 29.3km trail with over 1,500m of elevation gain, and it reminded me how much trail running and building a business have in common.

Time in the mountains helps balance the intensity of startup life and keeps me grounded.
